  • The BAMS is type approved by DNVGL, is in accordance with latest IMO resolutions: MSC.302(87); MSC.252(83); IEC 61924 ed.2; A.694 (17); MSC.1021(26) ; DNV NAUT-OSV.
  • The system can be installed on any type of vessel.
  • BAMS can be operated in 3 different modes: Sea mode (default), Silent mode (no audible alarms) or Anchor mode (alert if position drifted etc.)
  • The system can be integrated (option) with Totem Navigation Bridge Watch Alarm System (Totem BNWAS).

System Features

  • Displays on one or two (option) touch screens all alarms from various bridge sources.
  • Enables Silence of audible alarm from one or two (option) central locations.
  • Enables Acknowledge of alarms from one or two (option) central locations.

INBAS

Integrated Bridge Alert Management System (BAMS) &
Bridge Navigational Watch Alarm System (BNWAS)

Totem Plus has gained DNVGL approval of Navigation Bridge Alert System (Totem INBAS) – the first integrated BNWAS (Bridge Navigational Watch Alarm System) & BAMS (Bridge Alert Management System).

The combined system will cover all BAMS requirements while giving a full solution of BNWAS.

INBAS is designed to handle ALL connected Bridge Alerts at one location. It provides full information on each alert (including decision support), allows silence of the audible buzzer directly

from the main panel, and acknowledges the alert when allowed.

Simultaneously, the system will cover all mandatory BNWAS requirements and when needed will send alerts to the “Backup” officer whenever the Officer on the Watch is not responding. NBAS will increase the watch officer’s situational awareness, and will enable him to understand and handle alerts quickly and efficiently.

INBAS will help shipyards and owners to reduce cost and simplify installation. Its main benefit onboard will be the increase of navigation safety due to the ease of alarm handling. At the same time, it can be seen as a first step towards “One Man Bridge” or even “Periodically Unattended Bridge” which is gaining more and more attention lately.

The integrated operation (BAMS+BNWAS) is approved by DNV-GL, and are in compliance with latest IMO resolutions and international standards: MSC.302(87); IEC 62923-1 Ed.1.0; MSC.252(83); A.694 (17); MSC.1021(26); DNV NAUT-OSV, DNV NAUT-OC; and MSC.128 (75) and IEC62616 Ed.1.
